ONLY THREE MONTHS UNTIL SUMMER CAMP 2021, REGISTER NOW!!
Understandably, many families have questions and concerns about our COVID-19 infection control strategy for our 2021 Summer Camps. We take the health and safety of our campers, coaches, staff, and community members very seriously, and have put together a list of tentative COVID-19 safety precautions below. This is not an exhaustive list, and we will be adhering to all public health guidelines at the time of summer camp.
Health and Safety Screening
Each morning prior to drop-off, all campers will be required to undergo a health and safety screening conducted by their parents, including a symptom checklist, temperature check, and travel screening. If any participants present symptoms identified by the health and safety, they will be required to stay home from camp until a negative COVID-19 test is presented.
At the start of each camp day before campers arrive, all coaches and staff will undergo a COVID-19 health and safety screening, including a symptom checklist, temperature check, and travel screening.
During all summer camps, participants will be placed in 'cohorts' or small-groups of campers for the duration of the week. Generally, cohorts will not exceed more than 10 campers but may change based on public health guidance. During camp we will make every effort to keep cohorts separate from one another, including the staggering of bathroom breaks, separate lunch areas, and physical distancing between groups. Additionally, coaches and staff will be assigned to one cohort every week, and with the exception of extenuating circumstances, those assignments will not change throughout a camp week.
Sanitation and Disinfection
During all summer camps we will frequently require campers, coaches, and staff to sanitize their hands with alcohol-based hand sanitizer throughout the day, including when entering and exiting a facility, prior to and after eating snacks/lunch, and when arriving and departing camp. Additionally, we will be disinfecting all shared equipment multiple times per day.
As we get closer to the summer we will continually update our COVID-19 infection control strategy to reflect changing public health guidelines. A full breakdown of all policies and strategies will be sent out to registered participants prior to the start of summer camp.
